Dealing With Data’s mission is to gather hygiene products for women in need in Minnesota based on data. My goal is to provide basic everyday necessities to those who need them most, where they need them most. Using data science, I’ve been able to analyze where to focus my attention and have determined who needs the most assistance.

10% of Minnesota’s females live below poverty, two percentage points higher than the poverty rate among males.

Approximately 526,000 people in Minnesota State live in poverty.

Almost 128,000 people in Hennepin County, MN live in poverty

About 155,000 people below the age of 18 live below the poverty line in Minnesota.
Women in Hennepin County have extremely high poverty rates which correlate to their lack of access to feminine hygiene products. Using my organization, I’ve been able to partner with different homeless shelters and companies to host donation drives and provide an often-overlooked good to a wide range of people in my hometown county.
